Our Team

Evie Whitsett serves as a Programs and Operations Coordinator for Breakthrough Birmingham, where she facilitates digital operations for recruitment and the Thrive teacher coaching program and plans and executes field trips during the summer learning program. A Birmingham Southern College graduate with a degree in psychology, Evie has leveraged her detail orientation and critical thinking skills over the past year to improve program efficiency and operational effectiveness significantly. Her passion for expanding exposure opportunities for scholars is evident in the diverse range of educational field trips she strategically plans and coordinates, ensuring impactful learning experiences beyond the classroom. Outside of work, Evie expresses her creativity and love for personal wellness as a local dance group performer and certified fitness instructor.
