Our Team

Samantha (Sam) Nelms serves as our Program Manager for Scholar Success Continuum, combining her passion for educational equity and scholar achievement to support the development of our scholars. She earned both her undergraduate degree and Master of Social Work degree from Baylor University, where she developed a deep understanding of the systemic factors that impact scholar success. Sam is active in the community through her membership with the Rotaract Club of Birmingham, volunteering her time to support the educational initiatives of the club. When she’s not building relationships with scholars and families, you’ll find her running around Birmingham with a coffee cup in one hand and a book in the other, followed by her beloved pup, Tunechi.
